Tracking for Plain Spaces EP

Naph

Hey everybody! I'm really stoked because tomorrow marks the first day of tracking for my first EP! I'll be sitting down with my roommate Naph (contributor and producer of the record) tonight to talk about everything I want to hear in the songs. Its going to be really great. It'll be nice to have something to sell at shows (The hat's are amazing, but music is what I want people to walk away with). So I'll make sure to keep everyone posted on how things are going. Stay tuned! And please, comment and let me know how you're doing!

love,

I'm Still High

Tonight's show at House of Paine was amazing. Noah Gunderson and his dear sister Abby absolutely were fantastic. Its a privilege to hear them live. Garage Voice rocked out as usual, making everyone feel the love of God with guitars and drums. They asked me to play some songs as well, and that was pretty damn fun.

But other than that, I mean, we packed out that garage. I was blown away at how many people showed up... People most of us have never even seen before! Man it was just great. Matt and I, with the help of a few others, really worked hard on turning the garage into a legit music venue. The atmosphere was perfect and the acoustics just plain worked. You add all of that with 70 longing hearts, you get a real, outstanding result. People were greatly affected by the words and music brought forth tonight. It was all just so wonderful, to see and feel God in each one of the people in that garage.

I can't wait to do it again.

And, as always, Blake and Julie Paine were extremely warm and hospitable. Man. What a good night. I hope to have pictures soon.
